For USDM award bookings I've seen business seat available on the ANA site but DMSC says no availability. Which other sites are available and recommended by AFF members?

Which airlines, class time of day and routes was ANA showing availability for which USDM could not see? I always cross check with United.com. You don't need an account, can just search from the front page. When looking at flights only look at those which are available at the Saver level NOT standard.

Is LH in F or J?

If it is in F, then according to the US DM rules (on their partner redemption chart), these are no longer available for redemption. Unsure if people can skirt around this.

If it is J, not sure why you can't have it. Some people have reported that requesting a "long sell" of the seat may yield it for booking, however (a) this is against an internal memo that was sent to all US DM agents, (b) you need to get an agent who is willing to try this for you (i.e. will go against the memo and knows what you are talking about).

I'm not surprised with the LH group continually being pi**ed off with throwaway *G status and similarly for premium award seats (especially US DM), the apparent availability offered may not match up with what US DM can access via its agents for the LH group. UA will probably have no problems getting this availability.

Another website which seems to be popular because of its simplicity is AwardTravelr at AwardTravelr - Searching across all possibilities to make your frequent flyer miles work for you

+1 for UA. Best airline search engine IMHO, especially for award travel on *A

Unfortunately I think you are out of luck there. Following the thread on FT LH availability of recent has become very scarce for USDM even in economy with stories of people only being able to get flights on certain days of the week or not at all even when showing availability on all search tools. Nothing available on United?
