Some OTA have 2, 3 and 5 day cut off for booking flights.
Airline sites seem to be more generous with 3-6 hours prior you need to book it by.

Does anyone know of a site you can book right up to the last minutes before check in opens?

I have booked flights hours before and I have always just rang the airline and done it that way.

I have also just went out to airport and booked flight from the counter.

But that is only a hour or so's notice of travel.

You have to keep in mind that a lot of 3rd party sites have to queue off the booking elsewhere for ticketing which means that bookings made the day prior to travel may not be ticketed when the pax arrives at the airport.

This means you have to call the agent & often it's an overseas call centre so they can issue the ticket. You'd definitely want a company that had a 24/7 set up.

Airline ticketing desks can only issue tickets that were made via their own websites.
