You probably can't modify it (knowing who you work for), but if you can go split tunnel on the VPN connection then it'll just route corp traffic over VPN while leaving your internet feed alone.Im on (a work) VPN 24/7 and I just want to know how I can watch some streaming shows without being blocked because I have a VPN. Very annoying
I have that problem with various websites thanks to our work VPN, they don't like it. We almost got booted by a software provider because they thought we had hundreds of users using one log inIm on (a work) VPN 24/7 and I just want to know how I can watch some streaming shows without being blocked because I have a VPN. You would think any sizeable organisation would implement split tunnel. Why would they want the bandwidth drain on their connection by routing everyones private streaming trafffic? You probably can't modify it (knowing who you work for), but if you can go split tunnel on the VPN connection then it'll just route corp traffic over VPN while leaving your internet feed alone.
So be able to filter/monitor, unfortunately! Although, any decent SASE implementation these days should be able to sort that. You would think any sizeable organisation would implement split tunnel. We use PIA. Works for us but Liquorland online doesn't like itDoes anyone have any VPN preferences. I am looking at changing from Express VPN to Nord VPN. Thoughts? Referrals?
I use Nord and they regularly have 100% cashback. Mine doesn't run out until Feb but I just used another email address and got another two years freeDoes anyone have any VPN preferences. I am looking at changing from Express VPN to Nord VPN. Thoughts? Referrals?
I guess they can filter / monitor what someone is connecting to during "working" hours, but that is really overkill, and relatively little value. People can just use a differnet device (most people have more than one) if they don't want to be monitored. Unless they are doing TLS termination (and if they are I would not be using that network for anything other than what I was forced to), then they are not going to see what the traffic is - just where it is going. That might be fine for questionable websites, or things like Netflix, but lost of businesses use Youtube to host their own streaming - so they won't be able to tell what you are actually viewing. So be able to filter/monitor, unfortunately! Also if Nord installed cannot access Ticketmaster/Ticketek and multiple apps I need. Plan to cancel my sub soonThere’s some settings to disable auto connect for VPNs.
They can actually create all sorts of unexpected hiccups…so I’ve discovered.

As above, it could be the “Connect on Demand” setting - try turning that off?
I had an issue opening a bank account today, it needed an AU IP (so I used Nord initially), but the verify ID bit (3rd party) failed, so I used a VPN to a residential AU IP and then it worked fine. Also if Nord installed cannot access Ticketmaster/Ticketek and multiple apps I need.
