I have a few families and friends travelling on SQ to Sydney soon. I want to combine their points and issue a reward ticket after their trip. Which Star airline allow free points transfer like the one QF and DJ offer? KrisFlyer doesn't permit points transfer at all. UA Mileage Plus charge $0.015/mile + $35.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!

ANA have AFA - a Family account for up 5 members. Not sure of anyone that allows transfers between accounts, though.

And I think Asiana used to, not sure if they still do.

Thanks for the information, I just checked both ANA and Asiana. ANA allow up to 8 families who reside outside Japan using same account. However, they charge 1000 miles for add each person. Asian allow up to 5 families using the same account. However, you need to submit a 'proof of relationship' to their office.
Neither are good.

Only the Australian programs seem to allow free transfers. Middle-Eastern and Asian programs generally allow "family" memberships.

The only other real options are Air Canada Aeroplan, US Airways or Continental (post Oct 25-27). Of course US programs generally charge to transfer miles.

And this is all of course assuming that the SQ fare earns miles...
