Doing my first F lounge run next week. Just wanted to know what line I should take to get through passport control? I have several priority passes and when I am in SYD normally use it to get through the passport check and then turn right and join the normal security check queue to save handing the pass over.

Is there a separate line for domestic passengers? Whereabouts is it located in MEL and in SYD?

cheers gogo

Yes there is a separate line for passengers with the Orange D sticker. Can't remember exactly where but it is clearly sign posted. Used it is SYD recently (QF81 :) ) without problem.

Oh and don't forget that the international LAG restrictions apply. I've seen more than one person forget and forfeit some liquids.

Thanks Hvr.. Do you know if orange sticker passengers are allowed to use priority queue instead? Just for some extra DYKWIA? ;)

cheers

Take the normal entrance near the D check in counters instead of the express path entrance and then the line is on the far right (it is the crew line).

Done JQ35 twice this month. Getting through passport control in SYD was a breeze using the D/crew line.
No priority for security check but I didn't have to wait much, maybe 5 minutes.
The problem started at MEL where the D line was very busy and the 2nd time I just queued up at the international arrivals and it run much faster.
One more thing, both times the flight was delayed for almost 1 hour but when you sit in the Flounge, who cares...

Do you mean departures? Haha.

Delays on my trip back up to SYD hopefully won't happen.. As I am connecting back on to a complex multi-city booking that I'm only halfway through and need it to get me back to LOTFAP at the end of the year.. :) I have 1 hr 50min to grab luggage and check in with QF.. So everything should go smoothly. Touch wood. (It's a domestic flight I am connecting to after JQ3)

I was talking about arrivals queue in MEL.
I did JQ35 twice one way. MEL-SYD was on QF.

Good luck with your connections, hope no delays for you on JQ.
