I can't seem to find clear rules about the other way around. I'm QF WP, flying EK Y, EK ticket. Can I access the EK first lounge?
According to the QF website you can, you should be also 1 guest provided they are on the same flight.Screen Shot 2022-08-28 at 12.03.19 pm.png

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t that the table for access to the QF First lounges not the EK DXB 1st Lounges?

But my understanding, as per @TheRealTMA was EK # + QF WP still got into EK 1st Lounge.

Unfortunately, this QF page only mentions codeshares and the EK website is silent (unless there’s something backup early in this thread).

Apologies I did not read the post correctly and didn't see access was for DBX.

Thanks guys
I saw the table from Qantas but I thought that was only for the QF lounges...
Yes you can access DXB F
Info is here
“Eligible customers can also access Emirates Lounges across Australia, Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East when flying on eligible Qantas or Emirates flights with a QF or EK flight number on your ticket.”

QANTAS and Emirates

I must be going blind. That’s the link I posted above but I didn’t see the “QF or EK code”! I knew it used to be there….🙄

I know I keep going on about this but this is what the Qantas website reads.. temporarily unavailable.

Anecdotally it's incorrect.

Reporting back! Travelled last month
Am QF WP

PER-DXB, EK ticket, EK metal - Allowed into PER EK lounge
DXB-TLV, EK ticket, codeshare, Flydubai metal - Not allowed into any lounge (because Flydubai)
TLV-DXB, EK ticket, EK metal - Allowed into small DAN pier lounge
DXB-SIN, EK ticket, EK metal - Allowed into EK FCL A and B
SIN-MEL, EK ticket, QF metal - Allowed into QF FCL

All in all very handy, just don't book other metal
I wasn't sure about the SIN access but in the end I had no problems when I flashed my QF card at the lounge dragon

Thanks guys

Strange that EK ticket, codeshare, Flydubai metal did not give you access to an EK lounge. I understand that if you fly Jetsar metal on a Qantas codeshare, you can access QF lounges.

Also Qantas ticket, codeshare AIRNZ and metal gets you into AIRNZ lounges.

I think Flydubai has its own lounge in DBX and if you are codeshare with all the credentials, then you should have got access, at least to the Flydubai lounge.

Is this correct?

Qantas doesn't have a partnership with Flydubai so it makes sense that perks don't apply. It's like Velocity Gold/Platinums trying to get lounge access before a Scoot flight, even if it's SQ-coded. (Answer is no).

Qantas/Jetstar only works because Jetstar is a partner and offshoot of Qantas.

Unless it’s changed, FlyDubai depart from a different terminal at DXB, the other side of the airport.

There is FD lounge there ( not too bad) for their business passengers at least. I suspect the “partner of a partner” connection through to QF was too thin to get lounge access from the FD lounge guardians.

A few years ago FZ moved some flights from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3, initially from C concourse. This was when the other carriers had been moved to the new terminal 1 (D concourse) and Terminal 3 C concourse had very little use. FZ’s terminal 2 was perpetually overcrowded so it made sense to shift some flights across. Probably those flights with a lot of seats sold on EK tickets.

FZ flights terminal 3

If you had an EK flight number on your DXB-TLV sector then being denied access to EK lounge seems a bit tacky, but if it had an FZ flight number it sounds right.

Cheers skip
