Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Something to take in to account for your first credit card as well is how long you have been working, and your relationships with existing banks. Some institutions have stricter approvals criteria, with members reporting for example the WOW card, being Macquarie issued, having tighter criteria.

My first credit card, which I got with a $500 limit while I was a student on casual income, was helped over the line due to the fact I had savings accounts with that bank for years previous and they could see my savings history.

Building up your credit report - at least when Comprehensive Credit Reporting (CCR) comes in - may help to get future, more elite-card applications over the line.

I would like to know more about the security of the referrals links on AFF. Is there info about that? I can't find anything.

I have used AFF referrals and received points from others using mine. The Amex referral links identify the referrer to Amex but they don't seem to have any personal info, they don't link to the referrers account.

Some other referrals like Vinomofo require an email address and that is done by PM

So, if you have the income to satisfy the card requirement, you could then check your credit history. One is Veda, but there a couple of others. Every time I apply for a new card, my Veda score goes down, and then back up a month or so later. (I have a pa subscription and could see if anyone tries to take me over). There is a discussion about how much CC companies rely on this info. But, if you always pay your bills on time esp things like mobile and internet etc, you should be OK.

If you earn < 70K pa gross you should probably go for one of those that are easier to get with a lowish income reqm't. The application will ask how much you need to live on.
