I'm booked to fly MEL-LHR in May, with SQ to SIN and then switching to BA to ensure early morning connection at LHR T5 with an onward European flight. All in Y.

I usually fly only SQ and like their food choices, even in Y, as there is always a spicy option. I have distant memories of disliking BA food, and now that I am semi-vegetarian (chicken, fish and eggs included) I think my best bet for more spicy food may be one of BA's special meals. What would you suggest? Maybe the Hindu option? Any reports on that?

I suggest bringing your own spice/Tabasco/chilli if you want a spicy Y meal on BA.....

Not if they're <100ml.

How much chilli sauce do you need?

;-)

The thread title is about as close as you are going to get to being the perfect example of an Oxymoron, I could not think of two more opposite styles of catering in general. Given your stated preferences I think there is one option:

Asian vegetarian : Does not contain fish, shellfish, meat, poultry or eggs. It is a meatless meal and spicy in content.

Keep in mind that special meals negate any chance of an upgrade!

BA Y isn't known for its food... well, not in a nice way :)
