Does CX 146 have a regular arrival gate at HKG? Just looking at locations of their business class lounges. Do you prefer any over the others?

BNE flights tend to be around gate 60, far end of the terminal and near the Pier. The best lounge is the lounge closest to your gate*.

*Unless you have a lot of time and can try them all.

Thanks for that. We have a 6hr stopover, but from what I've read about all the CX lounges, they offer much the same facilities.

Would you not consider some time in HKG with that type of stopover?

Possibly - but on the return route when we have about 6 hours from noon to 6pm. The onward flight lands at 6pm and we depart again at midnight. I see there is a 20 min express train ride from the terminal into the city. We'd definitely need a star chart and compass all the same .
Thanks for the thought.

Do you have access to the First lounges?

The business lounges are slightly different. I find the Wing and Pier boring and head over to the Cabin occasionally. It gets very crowded but has slightly better food options and the bar has lovely views. Order a beer or a coughtail if that is to your liking.

Thanks for the tip John. We're flying business class. The CX website has some nice shots and I spotted an article with many photos in 'Business Traveller' re the newest lounge. From memory it was the cabin, so I'll go and check.
Cheers

The Cabin has been open for 2-3 years.

The new CX lounge is the Bridge which opened last month I think. I have not been to that one.

I like the cabin, can get really busy at morning and afternoon peak but very good dim sum.

I need to try the Bridge as well next month.

Same day return on the train is very cheap, would recommend it, unlike Changi I find Hong Kong airport boring after an hour.
