Which airports offer special assistance beyond that of airline service?

Was delighted to discover that Adelaide airport offers additional special assistance beyond luggage collection area. This could be useful for a parent with toddler and baby at foot and trying to organise car hire or a person with a disability needing additional transport to car hire or meet up point. I was on strict time line and sought assistance to bring my wheelchair bound and visually impaired partner and a case to car hire office as I completed documentation. This allowed me to go ahead and saved me several valuable minutes and enabled me to meet an unexpected deadline. Congratulations to Adelaide Australia. Do other airports offer this level of local support?
