Something I've become obsessed with recently is glassware onboard (more likely in J/F I guess :) ) Idk if anyone takes notice of this though, it could just be me and a bit of a stupid level of avgeekery (if it even qualifies I guess).

For me, the Finnair and Qatar glasses for non-alcoholic drinks are my favourites. But I also don't drink champagne or really anything, so am I missing out on some cool glassware for alcohol? What's your favourites?

+1 for the Finnair Iittala glasses!

And I have a story on this...

On our first Finnair flight (SIN-HEL), we were instantly impressed! There was an option to buy it in-flight, but we skipped it, thinking it was a bit pricey (wrong!). And then, spent the rest of our trip in Europe searching for them :D

There is an Iittala outlet shop close to the airport that stocked this at the time, but we didn't have enough transit time to go out there.

On our next flight (HEL-CDG), they didn't stock them on board. The passenger sitting in the row behind us was pleading with the FA to keep one as a souvenir. At one point, it felt like he went from pleading to acting as though he was entitled for one :D

If anyone is looking, I eventually found them at a local store in Melbourne (after all that searching in Europe). They had the "old-fashioned" style in a set of 4 for AUD 120.

I can never find the tall glass for a reasonable price, though...
