Where's the ham?

Returned to the VA BNE lounge this morning after a long travel drought. I go through my normal 6am arrival routine, and arrive at the lounge to be greeted by this sign. I look around. The rectangular trays of thinly sliced ham neatly laid out, a staple of the lounge for at least 13 years, are nowhere to be seen. Not even a whisper of it.

What on earth? Why?! Who wants first-degree burns in their mouth from molten tomato?

We VA types made our peace long ago with ham and cheese toasties being the stand-in for a “real” hot breakfast selection. But the ham was non-negotiable. A sacred, salty constant. Don’t go shifting the goalposts now.

This would never have happened under Borghetti or Scurrah's watch. Why isn't this on the PM's agenda? Priorities.

While I realise your tongue is firmly planted in your tomato scorched cheek, it’s hard to forget that Borghetti (in my opinion), sent VA broke with the debt load and ridiculous (in my opinion) purchasing/route design. Scurrah was never going to be able to escape that either. Having said that ‘where’s the ham?’
