Spending 5 nights in NYC in January and wanting recommendations on where to stay in the Hilton chain. 2 adults, no kids. Not fussed on location as we're happy to walk/take the subway where needed. I've looked and can see places are starting to fill up (admittedly I've left it late to book by 'yolo'), so any suggestions or places to avoid would be greatly appreciated.

FWIW I have 290k Hilton points to burn but trying to save them for a full 4 night point redemption where I can get the 5th night free.

Thanks in advance.

Bit of discussion here:
Hiltons in NYC

I found the Hilton Times Square and the Millenium Hilton (Only two Hiltons I've stayed at in NYC) to be solid if a bit bland/dull - but clean, and with great transport access. Millenium in particular had three separate subway stations/lines within a block from memory.

Edit: should add both my stays were a few years ago and even as a solo traveller I found the rooms small. Standard for NYC I suppose, but worth noting.

I love Conrad. Rooms are huge (they are all suites) and it's only a short walk to the Chambers St 123 subway.

There's also a heap of restaurants including a Shake Shack in the complex.

Typical room from one of my stays:

In January, I think close to a subway entrance would be good. Wondering which Hiltons have a kitchen for long stays - I usually stay at the Residence Inn, but can't see a deal there yet. ?

Have only stayed at the Milennium Hilton and Waldorf Astoria. The Waldorf was lovely, but slightly older rooms. Larger than the Milennium. Great location - nearer to where we've typically stayed in the past.
The Milennium Hilton is in a great location for Century 21 and the 9/11 Memorial. Otherwise somewhat of a dead area near there on the weekend/at night (vs around Times Square, which is also terribly touristy). IIRC, there was a subway stop within a block of the front doors.
