Wow - I never knew about that place
thanks
I've added to Italy 22
Vicenza was the home of Palladio, probably the most influential Renaissance architect. Town and surrounding buildings are worth a couple of days visit.

La Rotonda and the other Palladian villas are definitely worth visiting. Palladian villas of the Veneto - Wikipedia

And make time for a trip along the Brenta canal from Stra to the Venice lagoon by boat. Brenta (river) - Wikipedia

FYI: the Vicentini are known as I Mangiagatti - Magna Gata in dialect. (The cat eaters). Google the story. Amusing.

IMHO. One needs to stay in one place for min 3 days and experience the culture , environment and food. Slow Travel and Slow food with a few 3 star michelins and wineries thrown in for good luck. :) There are lots of interesting towns in this area between Lago di Garda and Venice and to the north. Verona, Bergamo, Salo, Brescia, Asolo, Padua, Bassano del Grappa, Treviso, Conegliano and wine areas or Soave and Prosecco around Valdobbiadene and much more.

We think alike @TheRealTMA - our min base stay is usually 4d to explore a region. I would rather base myself within a two hr drive of places I want to see and take it from there. All of the above are great choices….There is rather stunning hotel on Lake Garda and I have Top Tier status w LHW and lots of US$ credits to burn. This will do nicely.
Given it will only be 6:01pm this Friday that I can travel outside Melb for first time in four months - I am practising ‘suppressed excitement’ and wont believe it till the FA asks for my pre take off drinks order🤣

Sheesh, I show someone who claims to love boondies some lovely geomorphology and that's the best he can come up with.

You've got about another 24h to be more specific - and add the altitude that I and my Hertz rental was at (+/- 1m*). 😜

*That's actually a hint.
Do you expect us to come up with the number plate of the rental car, make and model too😂😂
