Where have the treats gone?

I flew domestic (economy) most weeks last year and I'm pretty sure that on every flight we received either a Lindt chocolate ball before landing, or a Calippo ice pole after meal service. Of all the domestic flights I've taken this year, I haven't seen any of these treats. Is this another cutback?

No Lindt balls for me on QF454 MEL-SYD a couple of days ago. I too was wondering if they've become a thing of the past.

I regularly ply SYD-OOL on QF864 (dinner time flight). Not only have they pulled Lindt balls off that one, they no longer serve a choice of boxed dinners. It's been enhanced to typical golden triangle lunch offerings of pulled pork ciabattas, pork baos or sausage rolls - occasionally with tomato sauce sachets.

Only ever had ice cream on the PER to eastern state capital sectors.
And if not wrong, on the NZ JC flights TT.
Have flown (all the following QF), ADL - BNE, BNE - SYD, ADL - MEL, MEL - ADL, PER - ADL and vv over the past 20 years, and have never had ice creams or Lindt chockies on these routes.
They have probably been taken off the shorter flights in your case, ... but lucky you have had them on your sectors.

I sat next to a FA who was paxing SYD-PER on Friday. Among other things she told me that west to east flights have had the ice cream cancelled but east to west should still get ice cream. She assured me we should ALWAYS get the choccie just prior to landing.
