I'm sure I saw a thread recently where someone requested guest access to the Qantas lounge - and someone said they should request it in a certain place on these forums -- but for the life of me (and Google) I can't find it :S

I'm flying out on Flight QF3 tomorrow at 10:00AM, I'll be at the airport from 7AM - so would love to just sit in the lounge and relax and I'm not looking to lay out any money for it :p

I'm a bronze Frequent Flyer :'(

For August, check this section: August 2011

International flights may be more difficult due to the QF requirement "travelling together". But good luck. Hopefully you find an appropriate sponsor.

You need to go to the August 2011 thread and see if anyone is going to be there same time and then you can ask them, but they are under no obligation to guest you.

Thanks - I searched the forums for August 2011 and that did the trick. Not sure what the protocol is - just gave my flight details - I will be better prepared for the next time. Cheers

It all depends on the lounge guardian at the moment. I have guested people who were flying to LHR whilst I was flying to NAN.

Not sure about the need to be traveling together any more. QF eligibility and access page now states"

"One guest permitted if travelling onwards on a Qantas operated and marketed flight [SUP]^[/SUP]."

Doesn't mention anything about together any more.....

DIT: If you're travelling on your status, then the guest needs to be travelling with you if flying internationally, but not with you if flying domestically.

If you're flying J or F internationally or domestically then what I said above applies, ie guest needs to be travelling overseas on QF but not necessarily with you.

Phew....
