Some advice please.

The outbound leg of a trip to the UK in Feb 2018 will see me (finally) qualify WP.

I want to put in a points upgrade request (Y to J) for the return leg of the journey which will happen four weeks later. I am QF ticketing and metal all the way.

To maximise my chances am I better off submitting the request now (as SG) or should I wait until officially WP and submit then?

Whatever you do make sure it has ticketed i.e. you have received an email with a PDF that has the ticket number before requesting the upgrade. Otherwise the upgrade request may get stuck.

Also don't forget that if you change your PIN after making the upgrade request and before you receive an upgrade you'll need to give QF a call.

Put it in now just in case there is a delay with your new status coming through.

Then when your WP comes through cancel the request and resubmit it.
