When do you receive amex points to redeem?

How does points get into my account? As in do you only get points after each statement is paid ( i just paid my statement on the 20th or so) and my billing cycle for the next bill ends today.

Or do you get points from every purchase after a few days of making a purchase? I wanted to get more points to do a transfer in the next week or so. I am wondering if i make more purchases now, if i will get the points in time. I keep reading contradicting statements on this when i searched online.

What kind of Amex do you have and what membership program are you enrolled into? For myself, all my Amexes are Velocity-earning ones, with one Amex having points transferred to Velocity on the 1st of each month, and the other on the 4th.

I am a amex Explorer in the MR scheme. I wanted to transfer to Krisflyer.

Are there no points in your MR scheme at the moment? Points are awarded once your purchase has been posted to your account. You probably need a minimum of at least 2000 MR points to transfer to KF.

Well, looks like you’ll need to spend more money to get more points or find another way to rack up KF points.

You can track your earnings in the Amex app (under "Membership")

Each transaction will generate points, upon posting of the transaction to the account (so, it moves from pending to posted).

Some transactions post quicker than others, if you're on a time crunch you want to make one of these types of transactions (I've found supermarkets and petrol stations to post quickly).
