Wheel chair Ron makes his debut.

I have been giving a heads up but adding under no circumstances give me an accessible room with a wheel in shower as my wheelchair cannot get wet. Those bathrooms are actually very dangerous for me to use.
I also trialled a new way of showering. Must be a walk in shower and I use my walking stick for support. Worked well.

I’m still learning but it’s obvious that some people think everyone in a wheelchair has the same issues. We are all different
@Pushka Shane would love this too.
Yes. I know that Shane suffered a spinal cord injury for instance as a teenager. It means he can drag himself out of the car so 'mobile' getting in and out but to all appearances looks like he has cerebral palsy. I guess that's also the true outcome but different causes. Then others might just have general muscle weakness. (He sent me a text at 6am yesterday, oh dear, it was a completely out of context text but very funny, but hope he realises I'm way older than he is and may be asleep at that time)

When I suffered an L5 S1 disc rupture, the neurosurgeon operated as soon as one particular symptom appeared, because his last female patient to experience this ended in a wheelchair. I was 31 when this happened and our second son was five months old. As a result of my 'success' he changed his policy. When I woke there was this thing in a container. It looked like a quarter moon. It was the piece of the disc that was wedged in my spinal canal and which created the loss of function in my right leg through compression but which recovered once the piece was removed. He said he'd not seen anything like it before. About 6 months before this happened, I lost the natural curve of my spine, instead of an s it was a like a large bow out right where the concave was supposed to be. That was the start of my problems. I'd opened up spaces unnaturally.

And I'm talking 40 years ago. I don't think the world coped with such disability way back then. And likely I'd not be around either now if that's where I ended up.
