Now I know there is a few wine lovers here on AFF, me included. But what are we all drinking...? And what should we all be drinking...? :p

Ok, I'll start off... Being a proud South Australian my current vote is for Chris Ringland CR Shiraz 2008... Barossa at its finest...! BTW...Its a strong one too at 16%

Dog Point is another popular one at home.

Everyday drink we can't fault Montana.

Penfolds RWT, Bin 389, or Bin 407

St Hallett Old Block Shiraz

Rockford Basket Press Shiraz (had a beautiful 1996 bottle of this recently, and now just cellaring a few younger bottles)

Blackjack Shiraz (from
Bendigo - only available at the cellar door or by ordering)

Well if you like Chris R' wine you can not go past Rockford basket press must say the lunches at the stonwallers is a wonderful way to spend a day there is also a great smal wine maker that makes wine to die for by the name of Collin Sheppard from Flaxman's wines

My very basic fave is Grant Burge Hillcott Merlot. And (real) Champagne, almost any except Perrier Jouet -- they have pretty bottles, but too yeasty for me. Otherwsise, nothing too sweet.

Where do I even begin.... Generally a pinot noir drinker but have an open mind. Also prefer reds to whites unless meals go better with whites.

I hate lists as I inevitably miss something out... Oh and I've yet to go through NSW and QLD wineries yet. Sadly I can't remember the ones I've had from retail, though a Tempranillo from the ACT made a bit of an impression the other day.

Not into sweet/dessert/port wine but the OH loves them.

Now champagne.........

Right now, enjoying an Erdinger Weissbier, which covers the "white", which will be followed by an Erginger Dunkel, which covers the "red".

+1 for a Blackjack and a Grant Burge

Mmmmmm at a Pepperjack Shiraz

Addit: ... Or a Penfolds 707 when it's someone else's shout.

Bin 389, pepperjack and just about anything that is half decent.Had a damn nice Chapel Hill 2001 "the vicar" the other month. Happy I still have 3 bottles of that in store. Also shared a fine wine from Whiskey Gully Wines in Stanthorpe. Upper House cab sav from about 2001/02 IIRC. I usually get a decent Roija via my sister in law as well. Finally, a have an Erdinger world cup glass for enjoying their fine selection.

Difficult. If we're talking wine, some of my very favourite wineries (in no particular order) include:
  • Hollick
  • Sticks
  • Cullen
  • Cape Mentelle
  • Happs
  • Tatachilla
  • Rymill
  • Howard Park
I'm generally either a Pinot Noir or Tempranillo drinker if drinking red, and a Riesling drinker if drinking white. As for Champagne .. Taittinger is my absolute favourite NV, possibly followed by Billecart-Salmon and Ruinart. I haven't tried enough vintage to profess to having an opinion, but the Comtes de Champagne by Taittinger is seriously drinkable :)

When I read the lists I kept thinking mmmmmmmmmm.Yes Keith you left out Moss Wood!Thank you for keeping that a secret.I only drink wine with friends so I love to share a Cullens,a Hill of Grace,a 707........ But keep out of my screw cap Moss Wood.I am waiting for your champagne lists!!

A fine vintage crown de lager from Victoria

Most Fairfields (VIC) cellar door reds
5th Leg
Mad Fish
