What's your dream flight?

If you could fly on any airline, route, cabin and aircraft type that you wanted, and money was no issue, what would it be?

I had a think about this and it's really tough for me to answer because there are many different airline products I'd love to try. But I think Lufthansa First Class on a Boeing 747 would be special. Not sure what route I would choose, but probably out of Frankfurt for the lounge there and ideally a daytime flight in order to fully enjoy the experience.

Airlines, sectors, airports, countries - mmm, been on lots and lots so becoming blasé.

My dream non-engined powered flight achieved was a balloon ride over Cappadocia in Turkey. (closely followed by a balloon flight over the migrating herds in Kenya)

My dream powered flights achieved (twice) were dramatic helicopter flights over the lip of the Grand Canyon.

My dream flight not yet achieved a flight over Antarctica (not just the small bits I got to see on a normal sector between SYD and SCL).

Actually, maybe that’s a bit boring? Maybe uber-luxury works better? What F setups are there with an onboard shower, with legs long enough to make the shower worthwhile, and Impressive F lounges available?

I’d like to get the best out of a few different airlines/aircraft. Etihad Residence for the onboard experience (and on a long stretch like SYD-LHR), Lufthansa in Germany for the luxury tarmac transfer and Concorde just for going supersonic.

The Simgapore Airlines F suites that I can share with partner and infant sounds perfect right now. He's an excellent sleeper so he'd sleep 12 hours straight in that bed and I could relax in the comfy chair on our way to London, and lie down next to him for a nap

Etihad Residence would do it for me - any route with this configuration. I've flown a few amazing F products over the years - thanks to FF award tickets and a couple of paid RTW tickets - LH F, SQ F, TG F, JL F and EY F (not the residence) were all excellent - but in the end I'm usually happy in J with on time performance, reasonable service and COLD Champagne.

If money was truly no issue, I wound pay QF to bring back their 747's and then always fly on them.

Realistically prob a LH 747 flight somewhere. Long enough to actually enjoy it (not a 1 hour jump to somewhere)

For a dream flight one would need some sort of reference point? I've had a few nice business class flights. Would be nice to repeat but that's not going to be a reality.

In all seriousness I love flying. If I had the time and money I can fly economy every day.

I would love to travel on an AF La Première flight including an extended visit to the La Première Lounge at CDG.

It's a bit like hamburgers...after costing $20 it is hard to improve it with more money. I flew once in First class Emirates and even the Dom Perignon started to taste like the Moet after the first glass. For someone who finds sleeping impossible with a seatbelt on in a narrow bed, it becomes only about the comfort of that bed. IF I sleep, it becomes a "dream" flight (literally)

I would have love to have done LHR-JFK on the Concorde. Remarkable aircraft even in this day and age. I was only in my teens when it was withdrawn from service.

You know what, I have enjoyed treading this thread, and seeing people's idea of a good time.

I'm going to just keep it simple and say "my next flight". After being grounded and locked in for 2 years courtesy of COVID border closures, I definitely don't take any flight for granted any more. I appreciate all the flights I take. Some are of course better than others!
