This guy is at another level. Why 9000 SC and not P1, specially if based in Sydney. That s lot of SC earned with partner airlines.

I remember the first time I saw someone QFF points count , it was 250k and I was very impressed. Was a while ago. Never saw more than 2 millions personnally.

I agree, I suspect des has used a bit of inspect element trickery.

There was an old thread (now locked)
The most an AFF member mentioned in the thread was 3m back in 2013.

Obviously some have several millions given the recent points auctions where someone dropped 3.7m points for the Queenstown weekend.

Danny Wallis (someone who's bid on the block tv show) spent a bit over 6 million points

yeah doesn't pass the pub test on the SC count alone but Plat.

but anyway seems like such a question/post is just an attempt at a humblebrag (or not so much of one).

and f someone feels the need to fake a big points balance... that's some sort of next level right there. Of what I'm not too sure :p

tbh I could care less about anybody else's balance (unless possibly a family member willing to transfer :p ) otherwise it's not relevant.. and I am sure some would argue a massive balance is a waste if not actually used for things because of devaluations and changes and well maybe a pandemic showing up leaving you with a lot of potential toasters....

as they say it's not how big it is.. but what you do with it that counts.....

PS: Ask Ansett Global Rewards members how big their balances are....

I would have thought a couple of million would not have been over the top at the moment
With cancelled reward flights etc

We have 4 million QF, 1.3m SQ, 2.7m Amex, 800k Marriott. Largely due to putting business expenses on cards.

I know some other business owners on AFF have even more!

putting business expenses on cards

Indeed.. a family member clocked up millions in no time.. and then found all the issues with using them.
After amex got antsy about the $$ going thru…. he diced the card and went back to normal payment methods
High volume points collecting is a "focus" exercise that is not for everyone...
