Me too! I had an awful experience there but felt somewhat threatened the whole time I was there. Loved the food but won’t be returning.

I remember saying to my friend, if I ever say let’s go back to Vietnam, remind me of this moment - trying to cross a one way street with 1000’s of cars/bikes coming both ways and on footpath too.

... and as you lived to tell the tale, that's called "Adventure"! (note the capital A) :D

Hey, I tell my friends that witnessing Saigon traffic in person is an amazing bucket list item! (It certainly helped that on the one and only occasion I've been in SGN, we were with a friend who had spent over a decade in VN and showed us how to do it - he's had plenty of experience in helping terrified Westerners...)

Personally - I'm not a very adventurous eater, so my "duck-it" list is really anywhere where I'm too far away from the fallback options of an eatery with Western options and an English menu...

I also hate humidity with a passion - it's not an absolute rule, particularly Malaysia and surrounding areas get a pass because of my family connections and because beef rendang is amazing, but being equatorial certainly pushes a country down the list for me.

Las Vegas, in summer, with under 21yo kids!!

Awful, just awful.
- My 4yo (at that time) would not leave the hotel due to the 48+ degrees heat and continued to wake up with nose bleeds due to the dryness of the aircon. Managed/forced out of the hotel, got him in the car, he grabbed the seatbelt and burned his hand with the metallic bit (face palm) ran back into the hotel
- Walk for a while with my 16yo. Sat down to have a cold drink. Were asked to leave as she was under 21yo, all the drinks places at this casino sold alcohol.

Go figure, in the USA you can buy a gun at 18 but cant drink until you are 21
