Hi all I seem to collect points and never redeem them, in the past I would change them to QF points and used them to upgrade from business class to first, but now I always travel first on QANTAS international. so that's no good what to do with the points ? I also have about 200,000-00 QANTAS points

Any suggestions would be great :confused::confused:

If you are "desperate" to use the Amex points you can redeem them for vouchers

$1000 voucher is usually about 120,000 points

So you could have about $10,000 in vouchers

You could give them to me?

</extremely helpful answer>

Seriously though - any family or friends you could "gift" them to, or buy things for them using your points?

1,000,000 points would get you an $8,000 donation to the Starlight Foundation and a very warm feeling inside. :)

I have a good suggestion for 100k QF points, PM me for the answer...

From Flyer Talk;

American Express® Cardmembers can donate today using their American Express Card and redeem Membership Rewards® points to make a donation at a number of organizations dedicated to supporting the Japan earthquake and Pacific tsunami relief efforts.

Amex will donate $10 for every 1,000 points.

We have found Singapore Air to be a great way to redeem points despite their fuel surcharges which are hefty but the seats are sitting there most of the time.
The flights are available on Kris points mostly in Standard and sometimes Saver so you could get a redemption retail value of about $40k or more by flying First or Business about 4 times with them.
The product is excellent.
Donating/cashing points realises too low a value when you can donate cash,claim the tax deduction (if it applies) and fly in style for a modest cost of the fuel levies.

You may want to ask Amex if they'd like to create an award for you, I've heard in the past of people having so many points that Amex offered them a car in exchange for burning them all!
