I have JASA booked in October LAX - BNE and I have booked a separate BNE - SYD ticket in Y.
Since my original booking LAX - BNE flight, the arrival time has changed from 6:10 to 6:45. My connecting flight to SYD leaves at 7:25, which probably doesn't give me enough time to clear immigration and transfer to BNE domestic.
I've tried to call Qantas on 3 separate occassions to have bookings linked, however, after 50 min wait on the phone (average) I thought I'd ask the brain trust of AFF on what to do?

Thanks

Linking your bookings like this will not protect you. All it does is add an Information Segment.

The original timings also seem to be under the MCT for INT -> DOM at BNE anyway.

thanks for that. Then I'll pay to change my BNE - SYD to the later flight time.

I'd give QF a call and suggest the change fees to be waived considering the change of time for the original flight.

Was this some sort of super cheap JASA deal?

Looking at what's available this time next year versus what's available in October, there seems to be very little difference, just as there appears to be very little difference in the JASA base fares LAX-BNE and LAX-SYD.

What are the cancellation costs? Cancel the original booking and rebook either LAX-BNE-SYD or LAX-SYD?

Regards,

BD

Thanks BD - I will look into it, good idea.
Thanks mannej, I might try calling Qantas on weekend, might be easier to get someone to talk to
