What time does international check -in open at BNE domestic

We are flying with QF, BNE to MEL, then on to LHR in J.

Does anyone know how early before the flight we can check-in at BNE domestic? Hoping for 3 hours or more.

BNE domestic check-in opens at 4:30am.

You can checkin up to 6 hours ahead so if on a 12noon flight then the earliest you could checkin would be 0600. Your bags will be checked all the way through to LHR and you'll get both boarding passes in BNE. Just go to a checkin counter not a self service kiosk.

Better question really, why do you want to be at a domestic terminal for more than 3 hours?

I'd suggest the Business Lounge for a start (assuming sanne doesn't normally have access - no way to tell as no details in their membership details).

If either sanne and her husband were Platinum, then I'd suggest they were looking to get an early flight to MEL to utilise the easiest Dom > Intl Terminal transfer in Australia, then be able to spend maximum time in the F Lounge...

F lounge i completely understand but not the domestic, I haven't been in the J lounge, but it cant be that great for 3 hours could it?

Just go to a checkin counter not a self service kiosk.

Better still, go to a check-in counter marked "International Connections" I've found that others don't always (or claim not to) have the skills to check visas etc.

There are no specific counters marked "international connections" as all checkin counters (14-21) can do international through checks.

Wandering through a deserted MEL domestic check-in area last night, it looked like the only desk manned!

There's heaps of ppl from BNE with intl connections in the evening to QF9 ex MEL, QR ex PER, EK ex ADL, QF21, QF3 ex SYD etc so probably busier than the MEL domestic terminal international connections wise.

Maybe in relation to QF9... i suspect not so much when it comes to those QF evening destinations only served out of SYD ...
