In Hawaii... Kona
Mazda 2
The left side below the passenger door seems to have developed a dent. Its that strip below the door but not actually under the car.
I have fully insured accept windows, tyres..... So am I covered?

If it's not defined in your contract, it's generally considered to be anything below the door seals and underneath the front/rear bumpers.

So what's that mean..... What is the cost potentially????

You stated you have full insurance. Have you checked your car rental agreement?

Its almost universal that you cannot buy coverage for underbody damage with a rental car, and in many cases same for the roof.

Interesting. I didn't know that. Best try and write the car off then. ;)

So if they go me... Not sure it was me and think there when picked up car.... How much on credit card do they take and will travel insurance cover any excess payment?

Depends if they look "down there". Not everyone gets down for a look.

If you paid the rental & insurance using your amex then the excess may be covered by the cards' insurance.

So I return the car and the shuttle bus driver actually just checked milage and fuel. Informed inside no charges and given paper. Does this mean I'm good or can they flip this decision and say actually we discovered damage.....charge credit card?

I always take photos and/or get return inspection paperwork.

Have paperwork and you're good (even if they charge paperwork you can dispute it).

/OT/ One might argue if the damage is caused by you, then why try to avoid it?
