Are there currently any special rules when connecting from QF25 to JL domestic. It has been years since I have actually had to do this and from the outset I assume we will enter Japan, collect luggage and drop off at a designated luggage area. The only reason for the question is the last time we did international to domestic and it was JL to JL in late 2019. From memory we were meet at the gate, fast tracked through immigration, bag collection and security as the baggage drop of desk was only open at certain times of the day. JL also provided a car to get from the international to the domestic terminal. Is this the current practice when connecting from QF to JL.

Collect bags and deal with immigration and customs as normal. once out into arrivals hall, turn right and at the end there is transfer desks for JAL (and ANA). Drop bags and behind the desks is a sercuity checkpoint followed by a bus to domestic.

The transfer desk is only open limited hours, but should be open when QF25 arrives.

That is what I remember, on the 2019 trip our inbound JL flight arrived late. Thinking about it I suspect we were only meet at the gate, and fast tracked through immigration and customs due to the late arrival and the transfer desk was due to close. The bus had already gone so maybe that's why a car was provided. We were travelling JL J inbound (int) connecting to JL F (dom).
