Hi all,

I'm about to surpass the 2400sc mark next week and I'm wondering what everyone else has done at this point.

Personally I'm going to choose the partner Gold membership. I'm not going to make P1 (will miss it by about 300sc based on current calculations).

I'm interested to know what everyone else has done, or what you think is the better option between the Gold membership, the 50,000 points, or the chauffeur drive.

I think I once took the ptr Gold, but it really depends on your circumstances. For me the chauffeur is not useful, so I consider the 50000 points the best option. But if you have a ptr or ¨family¨ that travel a bit, that Gold membership is brilliant.

The 50,000 QFF points would be the better option for me unless Gold status was useful for someone close to me.

In saying that not likely to get close again. In fact I almost wouldn't have had Platinum in the bag by 31 May so had to book a last minute flight next week.

I go for partner gold, because IME it doesn't matter how many QFF points I have, I can never use them for what I want (flights or upgrades) and always have to resort to my third or fourth preference for how to spend them.

I'd go the points. Sufficient for SYD-LAX J>F upgrade with 5K spare.

As others have said it really depends on your situation and preferences.

Two of the three options are useless to me so I only ever take the same thing.

I'm alone except for my cough cat so partner gold is useless, therefore the 50K points are taken. Not as useful as the days when ASAs were about but still useful.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

If your partner fly solo enough to reach or get close to the level of silver then I would gift them gold. Otherwise, take the points.

My other half doesn't fly that often, but we are going to Europe next month and I've worked out that by my partner getting the gold membership, we will earn back the 50,000 point just in the difference between Gold and Bronze. Works for me!

Discussed this question with my youngest son today. Because he travels in business class on points and miles from US/AA and QF he gets into lounge anyway despite no QF status. As a result we go the 50k points.

Chauffeur seems a waste, so either the points or partner gold. Have had this twice now and I've taken the 50K. ASAs first time - this year I'll probably use the points for upgrades (or toasters).

passed 2400 last week and just gifted gold to a status poor friend who I know will appreciate it. My good deed for the week so I felt better sipping more glasses of La Grande Dame on QF94 the other day :D

I've managed to hit the 2400SC threshold twice, I once took 50k points and the other time gave PG to my wife who was flying a lot that year.

MrP gave me gold. I was happy. Seems much better value than points esp if travelling overseas where SG has many benefits.

What about the EX?
That would confuse her (lol)
