What is the best way to spend QFF on travel?

I'm in Asia every year. My BKK dentist loves me.

I was originally with KrisFlyer, but they lost all my points, and trying to get them returned was like dealing with Canberra. I eventually gave up and joined QFF.

Maybe Thai Royal Orchid or MalaysiaAirlines are worth a look, but I'm unsure whom they are aligned with. At least they fly to and from Sydney rather than routing via the moon. However the thought of flying Tiger sends me into a cold sweat.

We have a BankWest Platinum card, which gives 2 points per dollar. Points are redeemed for FlightCentre vouchers. Unfortunately, my wife gets them for her hols in Europe.

At the moment I'm stuck with QFF, but seeking a better alternative.

Cheers
Bush
