I'm a Platinum Elite member of Flying Blue (the FF program of Air France KLM), but it became much less attractive to fly with Skyteam after they changed the program last year. Now I want to start flying with Star Alliance. I found out that BMI has the best FF program, but the problem is that BMI only has a limited network. After BMI probably Egypt Airlines has the best FF program within Star Alliance. Is that right? What are your experiences? Or is Quantas the best???

Within Star, BMI is reputed to be a good one. Qantas is not part of Star Alliance at all , so I wouldn't be recommending that at all

I know Qantas is One world, is that better than Star alliance?

I would suggest by starting out by figuring which airline best suits your travel requirements and then figure out a programme from there. OneWord, Star, Skyteam etc are all different and will benefit depending on your travel. It may turn out that an airline which is not in any alliance may best serve your needs

What routes will be your key travel and who operates best frequencies and shortest travel times on them

If you live in AMS and BKK then the reasons to move you away from Flying Blue would need to be significant. Thai Orchid would be a good additional *A program. Forget Qantas.
