My husband and I are flying business class (R) on QR (CBR - SYD - DOH - LHR - DOH - SYD - CBR) and would like to know if someone has a suggestion as to the best One World airline frequent flyer programs to allocate points. We will also be flying BA economy class (LHR - NCE - LHR) and (LHR- KEF-LHR) .

We are trying to maximise the number of status credits and points that can be earned. Allocating them to Qantas does not result in an good earning outcome.

Future plans are likely to mainly involve flights to Europe although both North and South America are also possibilities.

According to this page you'll earn 100-125% miles with most oneworld frequent flyer programs: Where to Credit | Where to Credit Qatar Airways Flights in R Booking Class

Perhaps have a look at Cathay Pacific if you're not happy with the Qantas earn? You should be able to reach Silver Marco Polo Club status (oneworld ruby) from those QR and BA flights, and Asia Miles (of which QR R class earns 125%) are valuable.

Otherwise, American AAdvantage miles are always useful but AAdvantage recently made it quite hard to earn status.
