Has anyone been able to get into their VA Travelbank account? Went looking for it yesterday and it doesn't exist anymore. Instead, there's some generic travelbank login page that gives no information on who it belongs to (unless it's Bain).

It's probably being "transitioned" to the new future flight credits system. This is supposed to happen by next week.

Can confirm still working. Booked a couple of tickets today and paid using travelbank.

Note: if you are logged into Velocity during booking, you may have an error on the travel bank. Click the log out button and then back in with your Velocity login and the travel bank will displaying.
Using the travel bank URL seems to have on off issues. If you want to check it’s easier to do a dummy point and pretend to do a travel bank booking.
As per my other posts, travel bank currently includes any conditional credit balance too.
Also from Tuesday Travel Bank will stop working as the future flight credit transition starts.

So today is supposed to be the day that the new future flight credits can be used. I'm yet to receive any of the details because you apparently need a new username to login and see the new flight availability for future flight credits.

Please note you will require your Future Flight credit account detail to make a booking. These will be provided to eligible customers as soon as possible via email. Please wait to receive these details before attempting to make a booking online or by calling our our Guest Contact Centre. We anticipate that the majority of guests eligible for a Future Flight credit will receive email communications regarding their credit by 5:00pm, Friday 23 October 2020.

Cheers, Looks like they're having problems sending out a large number of emails. That message wasn't there a few hours ago. I've only got a $16 future flight credit but am more interested in seeing how the future flight credit availability looks.

I like the way , they tried to indicate the 2 years validity of travel credit but the reference to cup of noodle's does make me feel noodles is going to be the official snack for VA2 aka Bain's brain child.

Well, closer to 21 months, and less when you count from when borders re-open, and services properly restart, which is still unknown.

But will forgive them for the sake of the joke!

Not sure about others, I just checked my new travel bank credit amount and it seems out of whack with what I thought the balance would have been. It is not in my favour.

My balance was correct ... if trying to use it you need to put the new user ID in before searching.

After speaking with VA this evening it was acknowledged that my account balance is not correct and was most likely due to some of my VA cancelled flights having been archived during administration period, chargebacks, cut off dates, and changing flights during the transition period that had not been processed etc. A lot of the stuff the agent rattled off did not make "technical" sense however I suspect the agent is working from a script.

The expected time to resolve my issues was given as 5 days.

My stated balance is over $3200 less than what I have handed over to VA.
Will call.

FWIW, it seems like you can't use Future Flight Credit (the new Travelbank for old cancellations) on fares searched with a promo code.

There's currently plenty of availability for Future Flight Credits across all fare groups on the dates I'm searching though, including the current 20 Year Anniversary sale. So it means paying (outside sale window) $129 in Travelbank credit rather than $118+surch on card for the same Getaway fare SYD-MEL.

I phoned VA but after 58 minutes on hold decided I had better things to do.

I tried again today and after only 28 minutes my call was answered.

Was told it would take about a week to be refunded but an email arrived soon after saying my money has landed in Travel Bank and it has.

The dedicated Platinum line seems to be a thing of the past.
