Hey everyone hope you been well.

Have a question re tourist entry for Shanghai.

If you were to leave to go shanghai lets say may 21 - 26. flying qf.

flights booked are syd - pvg - syd - mel.

for the tourist 144 hours visa exemption such a ticket does not qualify for the visa exemption to my understanding.

My plan for advice to friend is do a hkg day trip during your time there and have a confirmed ticket showing the in and out of pvg. (lets say 23rd.

does that mean you qualify for the visa as both times you are entering with china being a transit point.

sorry for the unrefined post, just due to the urgency of travel date i have come to the place that has the most knowledge to all things this ! and what would you need to show qf to let you board from syd wthout visa

thanks for your reply.

my understand is that yes i need to have another ticket to show pvg - (hkg/ tpe / macau) - pvg. i understand having a separate ticket is fine.

my question is doing the day trip out of pvg ( lets say 24th) and re entry on same day be no issue to allow to come back into china and then enjoy one more day and fly out on the 26th :)
