the economist.JPGDuring the Christmas/New Year break I always buy and read through this wonderful annual tomb which gives a high level view of key issues in each country. They often have good insights into the year ahead. I looked back at the magazine a few weeks ago. Worthless now.

Update 1/6/2020 Additional copies of this can now be obtain for £9.99 £0.00 - The World in 2020

A Parks Canada family pass valid till December 2020 - bought at an "end of year sale price" in Dec 19, in anticipation of our trip there in September - now of course cancelled. So not a good life with us.

I reached out to a colleague in Canada - the pass was gratefully received and will hopefully see a better life with him and his family.

A 1 year Goodlife gym membership.

Luckily, at the end and after lots arguments with management, Goodlife decided not to charge the monthly gym fees to everyone.

I should have spent that money on buying a new clothes dyer because my current one is “shrinking” my clothes. 🙄

Since being in self imposed iso since mid March, not eaten out and only one Indian takeaway. Been cooking low carb at home.

Now I don't have a single pair of pants or jeans in the wardrobe that fit me.

Lost so much around the waist line pants won't stay up even with a belt. Resorted to trackiedaks every day until I can get out and buy some pants that fit and not fall down.

Just found in my pantry - a 6 pack of 250ml long life milks, expiry 23 July 2020, originally intended for use in those annoying overseas hotels that only provide powdered 'creamer' for tea/coffee or a couple of tiny milks each enough for 1 cup of tea only 🙁

Oh well at least I can still use them up before they expire, just not in Europe like I hoped 😭

I would be packing for Greece small boat cruise right now for next week. MrP, well, he would start the morning we leave.

Back in March before the sky fell in, I bought several new pieces to add to the cruising wardrobe :):) - a 30 day TA in November - that is not happening now.

I was due to go on University exchange to Sweden and bought a Mac Book to use while away. My daily driver at home is a desktop so not much need for the mac book right now. I had plans for it to live another life on my return but that's also been taken away by covid. So for now its been turned on a total of 3 times since the start of covid and is on my shelf collecting dust.

I also bought new outfits in preparation for cruises and trips to Melbourne. As well, I was given some new luggage for my birthday. Not much use for either at the moment. I spend most day in a very casually dressed manner.

I know. I look at fashion emails and delete! I'm happy in a range of cheap items from Uniqlo and Cotton on that are bright and cheerful. And cheap. So can be donated next year when I'm tired of them. And basic black and navy blue comfy slacks. And scarves. I'm a scarf person.

Me too - I love scarves too. I love Ted Baker tops that have a matching scarf or shawl !!

Not me. I wanted to ahem, use the council rubbish bin for a bag I couldn't squeeze into my domestic bin. On the Esplanade at one of Adelaides beaches. To my horror I looked down and saw I was wearing ugg boots so scuttled across the road to home as quickly as I could.
