What can I get for $3000-$4500 from East Coast (CNS,BNE,SYD,MEL) to London return? What is the best option in W or J?

Have you tried kayak/expedia/orbitz/webjet/etc?

You can certainly get over there in Y, J might be pushing it with your budget.

when do you want to travel? That plays a big part in prices.

If your trip will be completed by the end of October then Royal Brunei have some heavily discounted business class fares from BNE. As the are leaving BNE at the end of October they are having a fire sale of sorts. For some days you can get BNE-LHR (with 2 stops) business class for $3,445

You might be able to business return on some of the Chinese airlines for close a bit over $4500.

A good place to get a complete listing of premium fares is from bestflights.com

Just click on their 'Europe' airfares page and select business/first tab.

There are some amazing bargains out there... Gardua Indonesia had business class return for AUD3500 recently to Amsterdam. Dont know if that is still available. And that is with full lie-flat horizontal beds on the Europe flight (and also possibly to Indonesia as well depending on which flight connection you take).

I know a lot of people bash GA, but I have flown them many times. Service these days is great.

Other options... Air Asia premium? (lie flat angled).

And the other suggestions listed already here for you.

If i was going premium economy, look for fares on JAL.

China Southern premium is like UA plus... just more leg room (although there are some upgraded servvice elements too).

A mix class is possible on a variety of carriers.
