I am trying to work out what car seat we can put our 2yo in for our upcoming MEL-LAX trip with United.
United says car seats must be FAA approved.
We have a Mother’s Choice currently, but their customer service told me they’re not approved for aeroplanes. They recommended Britax, but the Britax website makes a point of saying their seats are only approved for domestic Australian flights.
Have others travelled to the US with their child in a car seat? What model did you have, and did you have any issues?
Thanks in advance for any pointers!

This article says it OK so long as the AS/NZS 1754 sticker is attached. Though you need to inform the airline you will be using a CRS.
