What are your hotel room habits or idiosyncrasies?

Particularly in warmer environments, I always check if there is a separate flat sheet between the sheet covering the mattress and the doona/quilt. If not, I will either request an additional sheet or simply strip the cover off the doona and use the cover, so I can sleep under something lightweight instead of getting uncomfortably hot under something heavy.

  1. I turn the alarm clock off at the point. Been caught by that one at 3 am too many times
  2. I never slide the security lock on the door over - paranoid that if I have to evac in a hurry I won't find it
  3. If the bedroom has an internal door I leave it open - in fact same as my own bedroom. I want line-of-sight to any intruders
