What are you reading right now?

I have read lots of things since my last update. I finished the books in the Anne Bishop world, then moved into a series of books by Rainbow Rowell. The first book Fangirl was about a college student who wrote fan fiction of a very popular series (it's fictional but very obvious it's referring to Harry Potter). Then the next three books are set in the fan fiction world which was quite fun.

Currently I'm reading a draft of a memoir written by a friend about their experiences with an autoimmune disorder. I'm trying to be helpful and noting down typos and sections which don't quite flow.

I also picked up Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. I loved The Martian and this is great too. So far I'm about half way and it's really enjoyable. If you like sci fi, give it a go. I think it's going to be turned into a movie which is exciting.

Definitely being turned into a movie 😉

Okay, now that I've finished the book, I watched the trailer. There's one twist I thought was a bit of a shock when he realises what happened, but it's kinda given away in that trailer.

I'll still see the movie! It should be good.

"Ghada Karmi's acclaimed memoir relates her childhood in Palestine, flight to Britain after the catastrophe, and coming of age in Golders Green, the north London Jewish suburb. A powerful biographical story, In Search of Fatima reflects the author's personal experiences of displacement and loss against a backdrop of the major political events which have shaped conflict in the Middle East. Speaking for the millions of displaced people worldwide who have lived suspended between their old and new countries, fitting into neither, this is an intimate, nuanced exploration of the subtler privations of psychological displacement and loss of identity."

Ghada Karmi Ended up in Golders Green in London, how ironic is that.

This is latest book I have read on the situation in Palestine and the never ending suffering of normal everyday Palestians that were forced from their homes, some by gun point, not able to take any possessions, nor return to their rightful homes.

I just finished the latest book in the slow horses series by Mick Herron and tomorrow will start binge watching the new series of slow horses on Apple TV
I think only 2 episodes are available now. I’m waiting for them all to be available before I resubscribe to Apple.

Yes, only two so far as of this morning. I just turned my AppleTV subscription back on to watch the last episode of the previous season to get up to date.
