Westpac is capping rewards points monthly from June 17th 2013

I rang the black priority line and gave up after 30 minutes of them telling me how important my call was. Rang the normal number and got through in five minutes.

In my experience the Black line has longer wait times but you're talking to Australians and the normal line is instant pickup but talking to foreigners with an accent.
 
The normal line definitely had a person who had an Aussie accent. She said the average wait line on the black priority line was recognised as being 30 minutes plus currently.
 
New customer. Applied online. Approved instantly. 50k limit. Sent in tax statement. All done four weeks ago........................................

NO CARD!!!

Actually still waiting for mine... called a few weeks ago was told it shipped didn't arrive for a week+ called to confirm and was then told they have a deley.. this was 2weeks ago.

So not sure what the first operator was smoking 1+ month ago telling me it shipped out already to me.

Anyone else still waiting?
 
My platinum card is still working. And purchases I've made on black are appearing in the platinum account.
 
By accident I BPAYed my Platinum Plus account rather than the new Black account and the payment hasn't shown up despite it being several days and every other CC BPAY going through. Should I be concerned?

We applied middle of last week & received them today.
NOTE: New account & Earth Black.
 
So after escalating a complaint that as a 500k+ p.a. point earn meant I was advised I was 'not going to be affected by the changes' back in March, as the cut off is approaching, called back today to hear how they were progressing some 2 months later...

Card still not ordered. Hasn't been processed.

Based on the outcome of my callback tomorrow, might be saying goodbye to Westpac after many years and hundreds of thousands of dollars of business.

Their execution of these changes has been truly abysmal.

Wow. That really sucks. I got my card automagically in the mail and never had to chat to anyone and I probably have only racked up 10K points/month on average.

As one of my close banking buddies once said to me. "Anything under $4m/year spent is just a hobby...". Gives you an idea of how important we all are ;-)

Haha yeah, probably right, NAB did rub their hands together when I talked to them about moving my business though.

Got the callback today, still being worked out, advised I would get new card by the points capping date (mid-June). I'm going to give them until the end of the month, then if not forthcoming, close my accounts.

And with a $4m spend I'd probably be a centurion customer without these pesky bank issues ;)
 
I didn't know it was so low! Wonder how they justify the multi-thousand dollar card fee for that hunk of metal? They do feel nice though ;)

Same tiered earn as Plat Charge :( With MPC Diamond and...refer 2013 Centurion benefits thread :p

feh, there's nothing worse than a know-it-all bank teller :D

(If I had a $4m/y spend I wouldn't be dealing with a scummy retail bank).
