Westpac Earth/Altitude Platinum cards to become 'Platinum Plus'

The wording i have seen, seems to imply that only one additional cardholder could be added.

You can only get 1 supplementary card. I asked for a second one and was told it was not possible.

correct. that is why i got another complete whole CC account. that way i have Mr KLN as a supplementary on one account, and Ms KLN as a supplementary on another. i pay 295.00 for each of the 2 accounts per year. This is the Altitude Platinum Plus

Thanks for the replies.
May not work for me then as I need 3 supps at least.
Don't fancy paying 3x annual fee !

This seems to be the best replacement for the Amex Plat for me.
i had the original Altitude card about 8 or 9 years ago and later the Krisflyer card but they were both subsequently cancelled when the Visa earn rate was halved each time. Hopefully with a number of Mortgages with Westpac I will be able to get it free or discounted.

Also going to ditch AMEX Plat. after 15 years of loyalty. Have a mortgage (and other accounts) with Westpac.

What would be the best AMEX Plat. replacement card with Westpac?

See all the Credit cards below:
Reward cards comparison table - Westpac
Altitude Plat plus: goes to SQ, MH, DJ etc at your request (does not go to QF)
Earth Plat Plus; goes directly to QF

Both AMEX cards earn at 1.5 pts per $ uncapped. I have both of these cards. Don't bother using the accompanying Visa / MC as the earn is 0.5pts per $.

I agree with kpc regarding the Westpac Visa card. If your Visa/ MasterCard spend is high then get a Woolies EDRCC to pay stuff like rates and shopping where those vendors do not take an American Express card. The every day rewards credit card pays a point a dollar and you may get about 16,000 points on sign up.

I ended up getting the Alt Plat Plus after all.
The versatility won it for me.
Lots of premium bonus partners also helps.
V easy application, though I already have the SQ card with them.
All done in less than a week, with cards in hand.

yes I think that I might ditch the SQ one now. Didn't want to do that before getting the altitude one in case it looked like a transfer rather than a new card. Wanted the sign on bonus. Not sure that the Kris flyer one hasthat many advantages over altitude. Gawd, now gotta get used to yet another points system tho.

As long as I can keep working it to get in flounges as one of the great unwashed from the wrong suburb I'll be happy..apologies to another thread

I recently started using the card, after the Amex Plat points change, and received 1st active statement last week.
i called yesterday and successfully had the fee cancelled.
