Wendouree allocations and general discussion

My first chance was last year so I ordered a dozen including the Muscat and got them all…this year I’ve just gone for a mixed six - fingers crossed.

2nd year receiving an order form with no crayon.. ordered 6 of all except muscat & shiraz mataro
Has anyone ever been promoted from “no crayon” to a particular crayon without having had a previous order fulfilled?

Yes, my first 2 years received "sorry but no soup for you" letters, years 3 & 4 were no crayon order forms and no successful orders, last year promoted to green crayon and successful order of a mixed 6, and green crayon again this year.

When you got your mixed 6 last year, how many did you actually put down on your order form?

I ordered a mixed 6 including the 24b, Cabernet, other blends, and 1 x Muscat, and understandably missed out on the highly sought after varieties and received 3 x Shiraz Mataro, 2 x Cab Malbec, and 1 x Muscat. I only ordered 6 due to budgetary reasons, and noted on the order form to "feel free substitute varieties and/or reduce qty in order to supply". This year I have ordered a mix of 9 with the same note. Others have a different strategy - order maximum in the hope of getting something, which may work for them....I don't have the budget to cover in the instance it actually works!! Being a green crayon I don't expect a c/c hit until around late August once all long-term orderers have had their allocations filled, which is completely understandable.
