I need to be in London 6-9 September then to NYC for a few weeks before heading back to Asia. I can start and end my travel in any Asian country by using points to redeem an award ticket from my Asian base which is HKG.

Apart from the 6-9 Sep in London, dates for the rest of the trip is reasonably flexible.

What is the best way to find the cheapest J class fare?

Google Flights does allow you to choose a region for destination or departure location; it does allow a slightly wider search & hence you don’t need quite as many separate searches. I’ve never seen anything that gives you all permutations/combinations in the way you’d prefer.

Thanks. Will give it a try.

I suspect a DONE3 ticket exJapan will be far less expensive than any point to point tickets.
And a DONE4 to include Australia would not be that much more.

Many thanks @wandering_fred .

I thought about getting a RTW but didn't spend much time researching it. I'll look at the thread above and see if I can do a DONE3.
