Even with PointsMAX?

At the time of my previous post, the cheapest booking option did not pay any VFF points at all. The booking options that did pay VFF points were generally not worth the additional money required to earn the points.

At this time however, in some locations, Agoda are once again paying some amount of VFF points on the cheapest booking option. Agoda appear to change their rewards schemes/points crediting policies on an almost weekly basis.

I guess everyone's experiences are different. I've still been using Agoda as my main hotel booking site and haven't had problems. Most bookings earn VFF points, but I'll take the no points booking if it's significantly cheaper. In addition to the VFF points I've also been racking up the Agoda Giftcards on completed stays. Was able to slash about $150 off a few nights in Austin later this year by applying all the giftcards + will get a few hundred velocity points from the booking. Win win in my books.

I have been quite successful with Agoda too. A bit of shopping around over a period of time and you can sort a good deal!

As above my experience too. The PointsMAX come at a premium but occasionally good value can be had. The gift cards are decent. Certainly I'm not bothering much with booking direct via Velocity. I've just booked up six weeks in Europe and used a mix of booking.com, Le Accor direct, Agoda and Expedia.

Often a mix gives you the best result. Worth forgoing the points on certain bookings.

In response to my gripe about Agoda not sending password reminders...
Of all things, the Agoda reset password went to "delete items" folder of my email account, which I did not stipulate.
Grrr.
Needed to gripe.

I doubt that Agoda had anything to do with their email going into your deleted items...
