I've read various reports that you only have about 8 hours or so from an email or SMS to confirm an SQ waitlisted flight for next July.
However today I received an SMS and Email saying I have until 2nd of June 2014.
If I do have this much time, it'd be great - I've booked the flights even though I'm only say 80% chance of me travelling, and I could always cancel them for the USD$30 fee.
But obviously if I have this much time up my sleeve I could work it out much closer to the time.
What are the AFF'rs thoughts on what I should do? Confirm ASAP, or wait until the time they say - what is everyone else's experiences on waitlisting recently (as it seems all the info out there is a couple of years old and now dated and maybe not relevant on current SQ systems)
