Voucher booking flight cancelled.

Straitman advised of the same problem but stated the vouchers were new - so could be both?

I ready that post with a different understanding. Vouchers have an expiry date, so a new voucher that is not used by that date will expire and is to be expected.

straitman said that it had to be used by that day and assumed it would expire at midnight on that day but it was gone a few hours before midnight. I'm guessing the expiry date had a time component so it expired the datetime 12 months from the purchase datetime, e.g. if it was bought 31 Dec 2014 17:55 then it would expire 31 Dec 2015 17:55, and not at 01 Jan 2016 00:00 as assumed. QF would have been agreeable to re-instate the voucher in this circumstance as this actual system expiry datetime is not obvious on the voucher.

A voucher already converted to a flight booking then disappearing is decidedly unexpected :)

Not good to hear these glitches exist.

I have 30+ Qantas bookings. Can't keep checking that bookings are still in system and have not been cancelled. One gift voucher was used for 6-7 bookings at different times throughout the year. It gets really difficult to keep track.
