Noticed a week or so ago, we were offered Weiss Bars as the "snack" on a flight, Weiss must be trying to gain a bit more market acceptance and yesterday the "snack" was POPCORNERS "the new shape of popcorn" but interestingly enough, Weiss is a (according to wikip. a privately owned AUSTRALIAN company, and the popcorners are MADE IN THE USA (for an Australian company).
You would think that there was an Australian made product out there that a company would like promoted or at least VA could use?:?:

Weiss is owned and made in Australia (Towoomba), isn't that an example of what you are looking for.

I've been having Weiss bars since the 1970s. They are a long standing well established Australian/Queensland company. They have previously been served on qantas as well. Not sure why you think they are trying to get market acceptance.

Popcorners could be a propriety product therefore can only be made with permission of the company owning the IP. Ie another company can't make it.

Acceptance was probably a bad choice of words, I was trying to highlight the fact that VA had changed from an Aussie product, to a foreign made product made for a US company, but imported by an Aussie business. Just mindful of supporting Australian manufacturing where ever possible. Not sure if VA have to purchase "snacks" or if the manufacturers actually pay to get them handed out as a form of marketing?
