I don't think I want to paint a mental picture of what their safety and maintenance manuals and procedures would look like. Glad I fly QF.

Would anyone be able to offer a specific example of misspelling or poor grammar on the page that sprucegoose linked to? I used to think my English grammar was passable but I can't spot anything misspelled on that page, and neither can Microsoft Word's spell checker. Personally I would be more surprised to find the page error-free than error-filled but I would like to know what I'm missing.

When I read your post, I wondered if the errors had been fixed in the 6 hours since this thread was started, but no!

In the very first paragraph, flight/s is missing fl several times and offers is missing ff!

Terrible!

I read and re-read the page earlier today, and I couldn't find an error. Now I am back home, I still can't find an error. Missing 'fl' and 'ff' suggests something with rendering ligatures....

What ights can i upgrade?
Am i eligible to make an upgrade oer?

Looks like whoever wrote the article has an issue with the f key on their keyboard. Luck they didn't use the term requent lyer:p

I believe this has been an issue since they first announced the program: View it on Desktop and/or a particular browser and you see it all fine, view it on a smartphone and it comes up with all the errors. I remember noticing it myself when I first was reading about the new program.

I'll try and reproduce the different views/one with mistakes and one without to get my point across. Me thinks the question should be, if this be the case, is how and why are we getting two different content's across different ways to viewing in essence what should be the same thing.... Right?

I think woodborer's diagnosis of a rendering issue seems most likely. I've used Chrome, Firefox and IE on Win 7 as well as both the stock browser and Chrome on Android. The text is consistently correct across all five browsers. Still, it's something that should come up in testing.

This appears to be it! No errors on my laptop using Chrome (Win 7), but errors on my iphone using Chrome Mobile!

Just like discount codes don't seem to work on the mobile website!

Annoying!

Surely it's not that hard to get this right!

maybe it was fixed last night (because the website always gets updated promptly ;) ) but I'm not able to reproduce the problem on either my browser (firefox on Win7) or browser on iPhone 5 (iOS 6)

All looks correct on my computer - must be a compatibility issue. I'm sure SpruceGoose shall open a thread apologizing to Virgin :)

I think it might be something to do with their style sheet. If you select one of the misspelt words and copy and paste into TextEdit, the missing ff appears. So I suspect there is some miscoding in the css file that is making some of the fs not display.

Thought this was a frequent flyer forum, not a spelling quest. Does the spelling/ format affect the ability to book a seat, make the plane late or less safe????
