Hi

As a Velocity Plat, I have a couple of questions regarding accessing the VA lounge after flight arrival.

(1) Can I guest a non flyer in as my guest if only I have flown?

(2) If I was to say have a flight arrive at 2.00pm could I exit the lounge say at 5 and re enter say at later that evening?

(3) what would be the longest they would let you stay if you entered and exited 2 or 3 times?

I know this may sound odd but there is reason behind it.

Thanks:)

Yes you can take a non-flying friend. Not sure about re-entry.

I think depending on the lounge they would not be able to monitor when you came and left and how long you had been there. I don't think you would have a problem in Sydney or Melbourne as you can sit out of the way, but you might be noticeable in Adelaide or Perth because of their smaller size.

Good luck

Noticeable or not, the rule is basically "same day".

So the answer to both 1 & 2 is "yes".

3 is indeed odd. ...

What I've been disappointed with lately is that the perk of using the lounge when dropping off or picking up a friend who has or will be flying VA seems to have gone. Anyone know more? I've been rejected in Melbourne three times when dropping a friend off recently. And never before those three times.

It's ("Anytime access") been gone for two years or more ... a Gold or Platinum member has access on same day of travel - if not traveling VA (or partner) then no access.
