The Bain/VA2 retained lawyers will be making some money out of these court cases.

Keeps adding onto the poor Virgin culture media bonfire as well.

Flight attendant chases Virgin in for damages after ‘humiliation’

A former Virgin Australia flight attendant has claimed in a new Federal Court case that a superior humiliated her in front of passengers and that the airline forced her out of the job with a sham re-training exercise, further stoking uncertainty about Virgin’s culture after a string of exits and a bullying claim.

The flight attendant, Donna Waterhouse, is arguing her dismissal breached general protections afforded employees in the Fair Work Act and is seeking compensation for “financial loss and pain and suffering”.

Her claim filed to the Federal Court alleges a cabin manager began to closely observe Ms Waterhouse on a flight without reason, failed to explain why he was observing her, and was “purposely incommunicative” before shouting.

Generally there seems to be gradual but inexorable increase in anxiety and related disorders and a reduction in resilience.
These days its all about "empathy" and "RUOK" and triggering language - its the new RSI.

Agree and not commenting on either of the court cases levied against Virgin in particular but there does seem to be an overall sensitivity trigger that is set a lot lower than 3/4 years ago - in my opinion. It seems everyone is on a knifes edge….

That being said, 2 Federal Court cases in quick succession seems a little odd.

Based on the article, this screams opportunism. It seems blatantly obvious, unless there was a wide ranging conspiracy within the training department, that this individual was incapable of performing her tasks to the required standard.

Shame for her, but I view that as a positive reflection on VA.
